Speak Up really changed my life. The program wrapped two weeks ago and I’ve already received three compliments on how I’m speaking up - including from coworkers who didn’t even know I was working on this! They just noticed I’ve changed!
    — Lacey, Multimedia Specialist
By far the best professional development decision I made in 2020 was taking part in Bossed Up’s Speak Up program. I can’t overstate how stressed out I used to get about public speaking - I would fully black out giving presentations!

This course got at the root causes of the anxiety so many of us - especially women - feel about speaking up, provided tactics for addressing this anxiety head-on, and taught me practical tips for making my voice heard in meetings and crafting powerful presentations.
    — Liz H., J.D., Attorney & Non-Profit Leader
Speak Up Program Participant - Liz
    Speak Up Participant Keshia
The storytelling session was one of the most powerful for me. It applies to everything - a small talk with coworkers, or a large scale presentation. Understanding the power of storytelling and how to structure stories to cater to your audience was a key takeaway.
    — Keshia H. PhD, Researcher
I learned how to build confidence during presentations - both in terms of preparation beforehand and managing my emotions during the delivery.
    — Amira, Financial Analyst
    Speak Up Participant - Amira
I feel more confident in my abilities to give formal presentations and to speak up in everyday life. I recently presented at a conference using the techniques I learned in the Speak Up program. Several people came up to me afterwards to compliment me on my presentation. It was an exciting milestone in my public-speaking journey!
    — Jency, Sustainability Project Manager
I led a training for 80 people at work and used the skills we practiced to interrupt strategically to keep us on track - and it worked! My supervisor even complimented me afterwards! Building my confidence and practicing in our live sessions has helped me a lot.
